Enhancing Cybersecurity for Cyber-Physical Systems: Integration of Preventive and Detective Controls Using Digital Twins
This thesis aims to develop a comprehensive cybersecurity framework for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) by integrating preventive and detective controls through the use of digital twins. The research will leverage advanced 3D modeling techniques and modern web frameworks such as Babylon.js, Vue.js, and Element+ to create detailed visualizations and real-time rendering. The objective is to enhance the security posture of CPS by facilitating advanced attack tree analysis, risk assessments, and the implementation of robust security measures. This study will be applied in the context of critical infrastructure, such as nuclear power plants and industrial automation, providing a scalable
Objectives:
- Develop a detailed 3D model of CPS components using Babylon.js.
- Integrate Vue.js and Element+ for an interactive and intuitive user interface.
- Implement preventive and detective security controls within the digital twin.
- Conduct advanced attack tree analysis and risk assessments.
- Validate the framework in a real-world industrial environment.
